Dr. Galiano considers jawline contouring a significant part of his practice, which can often be achieved without invasive surgery. For example, Botox can be used to minimize the prominence of the masseter muscle, which is responsible for undesirable bulk in the angle of the mandible. Botox paralyzes and causes atrophy of this muscle, leading to a decrease in the width of the mandible and transforming the face contour from an angular, boxy shape to a more delicate oval. Desired results are typically achieved after about two Botox sessions.

What are the benefits and Dr. Galiano's approach to blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery)?
Upper lid blepharoplasty can remove redundant skin, improve asymmetries, remove excess fat deposits, or add fat in hollow upper lids. It can improve drooping upper eyelids, which in severe cases can obstruct vision, thereby enabling patients to see better. The procedure can also alter the position of the upper lid crease, or even create one where none existed (as in Asian blepharoplasties). Most crucially, it can alter the personality of the periorbital region, making a person look happy, engaging, and alert instead of tired, sad, or angry.
