Approach
- On this week's edition of Glamour No Fluff, where I tell the truth about aesthetic procedures
- Dr. Regina Rodman, MD's "forward lift" is not a full facelift.
- The goal of a facelift closure, the goal of the incision is for it to hide as nicely as possible and to be invisible as possible once it's healed
Specialization
- I'm Dr. Regina Radman, double board certified facial plastic surgeon
- So for the forward lift, which is a genioplasty and a deep plane neck lift
Technique
- With a lip lift, I'm actually flipping the lip so that you see more lip, you get more vertical height, but without it sticking out anymore
- And as you can see, the way that I placed the facelift scars, it's right here kind of in this crease in front of the ear where we naturally have a little fold. It's behind the tragus and then wraps around the underside of the ear
- So there's no big visible incisions like with a full facelift in front of the ear
- For the "forward lift," Dr. Regina Rodman, MD places a small incision behind the chin, which hides in the chin fold.
Consultation
- The practice offers both virtual and in-office consultations.
Recovery guidance
- Now remember, you won't be able to wear your hair in a ponytail right away. It's going to take weeks to months for that incision to heal and fade, but the goal, absolutely yes, is for you to be able to wear your hair back or wear it however you want it
- Post-operative aftercare provided by Dr. Rodman's practice includes hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

Industry Payments
Federal law (the Physician Payments Sunshine Act) requires drug and medical-device companies to report anything of value they give to a physician — consulting and speaking fees, research funding, travel, royalties, and even meals. Medicare publishes all of it in a public database called Open Payments. We show it here so you don't have to go looking for it.
Total received (2024)
$57
Payments
2
Compared to peers
Small
Dr. Regina Rodman received $57 across 2 payments in 2024. That is in the lower half for physicians here — totals this size are typically meals at sponsored talks. Most of it was categorised as food and beverage, and the largest single payer was DePuy Synthes Sales Inc..
What this means for your care
- A disclosed payment is a business relationship, not evidence of wrongdoing, and it says nothing on its own about the quality of your care.
- Most payments are small. Across the physicians listed on NavMDs, the single most common category is food and beverage at industry-sponsored talks.
- Larger consulting, speaking or royalty payments mean an ongoing financial relationship with a company whose products your doctor may use or recommend. That is worth knowing about, and it is reasonable to ask about.
- A fair question to ask: “Do you have a financial relationship with the maker of the implant, filler or device you're recommending — and what alternatives did you consider?”
