• In the female patient, you have a smaller implant that was placed in. Because she's a woman, the chin naturally doesn't project as much. If you put a larger implant on a woman, it can look a little too heavy and too masculine. So you have to be careful about that

Technique

• When we transplant, we respect those groupings and move them from the back of the head to the front exactly as they occur

Consultation

• The morning of the surgery I'll see you about 20 minutes before the procedure
• Dr. Rawnsley's practice utilizes digital imaging to edit patient photos, providing a preview of their nose before surgery.

Recovery guidance

• Afterwards, I'll usually see you before you leave after about an hour after the surgery and then I usually see you in a week
• I think in general, neck lifts, face lifts, after about two weeks, you can pretty much go back to your normal life, and be seen and not feel self-conscious

Results

• So oftentimes in male patients, we want to have a stronger chin. We want to have a chin that projects more relative to the nose
• I mean, usually things are fairly nice and trimmed, so any kind of swelling doesn't really show that much at all
• And when they're distributed in that natural follicular unit, they look entirely natural
