What are the instructions for post-rhinoplasty nose taping?
After rhinoplasty, some patients are asked to tape their nose for about a month to help minimize swelling and scar tissue. You'll need paper tape (white or brown) and scissors. Apply short pieces of tape with a fair amount of pressure, overlapping slightly, ensuring the tape sinks into the skin. A longer piece goes over the nasal tip, leaving the very tip exposed. The final long piece starts at the bottom of the tip for support, can be pinched, and cut for comfort, secured with a small top piece.
