Skip alcohol for 24-48 hours before treatment as it can increase your likelihood of bruising. Eat a healthy meal and stay hydrated before your appointment to feel your best. If you’re prone to bruising, let your injector know; the practice can advise on timing your treatment to allow adequate healing days prior to an event. Consider taking Arnica or Bromelain a couple of days before and after your treatment if they’re appropriate for you, as these may help reduce bruising for some people. Even when you do everything 'right,' bruising can still happen as it’s a normal possibility with any injectable treatment, usually resolving within several days to two weeks.
