Typically, we do not treat the breasts for lipedema. It’s important to understand that lipedema does not behave like cancer and we do not need to remove every single lipedema fat cell. Our goal is to achieve meaningful improvement, including addressing fibrosis and reducing congestion. Treating areas such as the abdomen can also help decongest other affected areas of the body.
