Technique

• So the fat that's in the lower eyelid that's protruding that looks like a bag, I treat that through what's called a transconjunctival incision
• That's a procedure where I go from inside the eyelid in order to manage the fat
• And in many cases, I may remove a little bit of that fat or I may reposition some of that fat
• When it comes to skin excess, I generally will remove skin through what's called a skin pinch technique

Recovery guidance

• So what do we want patients to do from a nutritional standpoint? We want patients to have a balanced diet. We want them to get enough nutrients. We want them to get enough vitamins and minerals. But also importantly, we want them to get enough protein
• Exercise is very important going into surgery. So it's important to be fit. Going into surgery, being physically fit is going to help you with your anesthesia. It's going to help you with your recovery. It's gonna help you with your healing
