What is UPNEEQ and how is it used?
UPNEEQ is the only FDA-approved, once-daily prescription eye drop (oxymetazoline hydrochloride ophthalmic solution, 0.1%) that lifts low-lying eyelids (acquired blepharoptosis) in adults, making eyes look more open for up to 8 hours. Patients with drooping eyelids should discuss their medical history, symptoms, and other medications with their doctor, as drooping lids can be caused by other serious conditions like stroke. Patients with heart disease, blood pressure or blood flow issues, or risk for angle-closure glaucoma should use UPNEEQ with care. Call your doctor if your condition worsens. Each UPNEEQ vial is for one-time use; use as directed, discard after use, and do not touch the tip of the vial to your eye or any other surface.
