What is BBL?
BBL is fat grafting to the buttocks. To ensure safety, fat with minimal exposure to air or infectious material is used. The practice uses a closed system, the Wells-Johnson system, to extract fat. The fat is purified and antibiotics are added. Ultrasound is used to identify the level to place the fat, and landmarks are used to protect patients from inadvertently putting fat into deep veins.
