Can Botox help with neck and shoulder pain?
Yes, Botox can help relieve neck and shoulder pain. The patient is receiving Botox in the trapezius muscles for relief and beauty benefits. The patient is receiving 30 units of Botox per trapezius muscle. The patient previously had Botox in the trapezius muscles and felt great but wanted more longevity.
What is recovery like after CO2 Active FX?
Downtime after CO2 Active FX can be four to seven days. Immediately after the procedure, expect discoloration and dryness. During downtime, the patient will look flaky and peely. Aquaphor is used after the procedure. The PA is fully healed two weeks after the procedure.
What aftercare is recommended following lip filler?
Avoid applying pressure to the lips for 48 hours, including kissing. Avoid drinking Remistrol for 48 hours. Avoid alcohol and NSAIDs like Motrin, ibuprofen, and naproxen to decrease bruising. Avoid vigorous exercise for 48 hours. Massage the lips as instructed by your injector. Keep lips clean for 68 hours following injection. Wait 14 days for the final results.
What is Plated?
Plated is a skincare product that uses exosomes from piglets. Exosomes in Plated deliver regenerative properties to surface skin cells. In clinical trials, Plated has been shown to increase collagen, elastin, antioxidants, and growth factors, and decrease redness, brown spots, and wrinkles.
What is Sculptra and how does it work?
Sculptra is a biostimulant made of poly-L-lactic acid used to restore volume loss. It is mixed with bacteriostatic saline and lidocaine for comfort and injected into areas of volume depletion to rejuvenate the skin and face. The body absorbs the saline and lidocaine, but the Sculptra remains. As the body breaks down Sculptra, it creates collagen and elastin. Sculptra can be injected every four to six weeks, and treatment sometimes takes a few sessions. It helps restore volume where you need it most, creating a fuller, more youthful appearance.
Can Botox be used for jawline contouring?
Yes, jawline contouring can be achieved using Botox.
What neurotoxin does Dr. Gambhir prefer?
Dr. Gambhir prefers Botox for most patients and considers it the practice's go-to neurotoxin. Patients should stick with the neurotoxin that has been working for them, and there's no reason to switch unless the current one stops working. The practice has other neurotoxin options if Botox isn't working.
What is the ratio of Dysport to Botox units?
The ratio of Dysport to Botox units is 3:1, meaning three units of Dysport for every one unit of Botox.
What is the masseter muscle and how can Botox treat it?
The masseter muscle is attached to the mandible (jaw) and inserts onto the cheek (lateral zygoma). It is responsible for helping us chew. The masseter muscle can be treated for TMJ (temporomandibular dysfunction), which can cause jaw discomfort, clenching, grinding, or overall discomfort in the area. Botox helps atrophy the masseter muscle, weakening it to some degree and shrinking the muscle. Botox can be used to slim the face and create a heart-shaped face in the right candidate. For TMJ treatment, we would probably recommend up to 25 to 30 units of Botox per side. For a first-time Botox treatment for TMJ, we are going to do 15 units per side.
