What does 20/20 vision mean?
In the term 20/20 vision, the first 20 represents the testing distance, which is 20 feet. The second 20 refers to the size of the letter a person with normal vision can barely see. Therefore, 20/20 vision means that at 20 feet, you can see the size 20 letter. Someone with 20/40 vision can only see the size 40 letter at 20 feet, which is twice the size of the 20 letter. Someone who is legally blind may only be able to see the 20/200 letter, which is 10 times as big as the 20/20 letter. Some people, especially younger people, can see better than 20/20, such as 20/15.
What should I know about eye floaters?
