Senior Web Developer
NavMDs helps people find board-certified surgeons and medspas, with real reviews, real prices, and rankings that are never for sale. Our site is the product: more than 14,000 pages of doctor profiles, city guides, and cost data that patients rely on when they make a big decision.
We are looking for a senior web developer to own the public side of navmds.com. You will build new pages and features, keep the site fast, and make sure every page is built the way search engines and screen readers expect.
We are a small team, so you get real ownership. You scope, build, deploy, and measure your own work.
What you'll do
- Build and ship pages and features in Next.js and TypeScript.
- Keep the site fast: Core Web Vitals, image handling, and render performance across thousands of pages.
- Own structured data, sitemaps, and the other technical SEO surfaces of the site.
- Turn designs into clean, responsive, accessible UI that works on any device.
- Debug and fix issues across the stack, from a layout bug to a slow Postgres query.
- Review code and help set the standard for how we build.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years building production websites or web applications.
- Strong JavaScript and TypeScript, with deep React experience. We use the Next.js App Router.
- You have made big sites fast before and can explain how.
- Comfortable with SQL and a real database. We use Supabase and Postgres.
- Clear writing. We work asynchronously and most communication is written.
Nice to have
- Technical SEO experience on a large site.
- Experience with healthcare, marketplaces, or other trust sensitive products.
- Tailwind CSS.
